ChurchTrac 8 has been completely redesigned and updated. Compared to previous versions, it is faster and more powerful, but still has the easy-to-use interface you've come to love. The new Access 2010 database engine offers a huge upgrade over previous versions of ChurchTrac which utilized the Access 2002 engine. This new version features support for multi-threading and dual-core processors, and offers better integration with Vista and Windows 7. Web content is only a click away. You now have access to program updates and online help topics (including the online knowledgebase and user guide) right from the ChurchTrac interface. Any report in ChurchTrac can now be saved in PDF format without the need for add-ins or PDF printers. It is easier than ever to share and email reports. The new toolbar and user interface make using and navigating ChurchTrac easier than ever. ChurchTrac also has new color schemes that you can set to match your personality and taste. You can now assign calendar events to a category/color and filter or print all events in a specific category. This works great, for example, when you want to see or print every event in the "Youth ministry" category. When you use a user name and password to log into ChurchTrac, you can control which areas of the program each user has access to. Now you can also control which users have read-only access. These users can view information and print reports in any area of the program where their user name grants them access--but they won't be able to make changes.
